Description
3 Qt Cast Iron Saucepan with Fryer Basket, Cleaned & Well Seasoned Wood handles for easier and more comfortable use. The wood handles easily unscrew for oven or other high heat purposes. Fryer basket isn’t original to the saucepan and ideally could have been an inch deeper. I think the saucepan is deep enough to fry corn dogs the way they’re supposed to be fried- vertically, although I guess it would depend on their size (you would not use the fryer basket for this). Pan and lid were made in Taiwan, I have no idea where the fryer basket was made. I considered removing the red plastic in the basket handle but thought it might make it more comfortable to handle. I also wasn’t sure if it was lending strength to the handle, so I left it in place. Sometimes I see listings where the seller says a cast iron pan is restored and it's still gunky and rusty and I'm left wondering what the seller actually did to the pan if anything. I personally wouldn't consider cooking a meal for my family in some of those pans. Every pan I sell has been restored by removing the old seasoning/gunk/rust via safe methods (electrolysis) then all of them are well seasoned with a minimum of three rounds of seasoning. I'm a perfectionist with a good work ethic and I always try my hardest to make every pan look as new as possible. I always restore each pan as if they're being added to my own personal cast iron collection (and I'm very picky). If there is some discoloration left in a pan it's because it will NOT come off. You will NOT be cooking on some stranger's yucky gunky mess.
